GUIDING FOR ADULTS

In Trefoil Guild, members aged 18+ make new friends, travel, explore, serve their communities and help Guiding and Scouting thrive across the UK!

Have you ever noticed how much fun youth groups like Brownies and Guides have? Do you want to challenge yourself in the same way to learn new skills, gain a badge, or grow in confidence? Are you looking to meet other adults socially and have fun?

Every Trefoil is different. Some are made up of members who love exciting outdoor sports; some are made up of young parents who camp and go on holiday together; some have all ages from 18 to 90; but whichever Trefoil you join, everyone decides on a programme together that provides the fun and friendship that gives Trefoil its central ethos. If you want to do something for you and something for the community, why not Google Trefoil Guild and find out how to become a member.  You may be the parent of a Brownie, someone who was a Guide or Scout years ago, or someone who has never heard of us before. Everyone can join today; we’re looking forward to welcoming you and sharing the fun that is Trefoil!

Trefoil members are adults who enjoy life, make friends, support others, and value making time to do something ‘for them’ – and if it’s a challenge, so much the better! In this pressured world where wellness is vital, what could be better than growing and learning with like-minded individuals. Recognise yourself here?

Trefoil Guild acts like a branch of Girlguiding and its members agree to support the guiding ethos - including the pledge to help other people. Many members pass on their skills and knowledge to local guiding units, from helping Brownies work towards a badge to preparing older girls for a camping adventure. Many members are unit leaders or helpers in Girlguiding units, but it is not a requirement to be a Trefoil member.

But it’s not all about the girls - there are plenty of opportunities for members to try something new, take on a new personal challenge and escape the daily routine. The best thing is that what you do is up to you!Across the UK, there are over 1,100 Trefoil Guilds with over 18,000 members - some meet every week, others less frequently, perhaps in the evening or in the afternoon.
